We contribute to the international community with the power of practice rooted in excellent education and research capabilities.
Teikyo University has defined "International Perspectives" as one of its Educational Guidelines, and is promoting internationalization at the university in various ways. The university has concluded international exchange agreements with universities around the world to conduct exchange programs and academic exchange, and has established an overseas campus in Durham, England, to provide its own short-term and long-term study abroad programs. We are also actively accepting international students. The number of international students studying at our university has exceeded 1,000, and the number of countries of represented by our student body has reached 30. In addition, in order to support international students with diverse backgrounds, we have established an international exchange assistant system centered on Japanese students, an international student tutor system, and an employment and Support for Career Development program for international students.
The ways we connect with the international community will expand more and more through a combination of face-to-face and online interactions, bringing the world closer to us. Globalization has a significant impact on each individual's daily life. We will provide opportunities to experience diverse values and enrich our lives, and develop human resources who can play an active role in the global community.
In 2021, Global Initiative Office was established to further strengthen the promotion of internationalization at our university. We are promoting strategic internationalization in cooperation with various organizations inside and outside the university.
