From Friday, January 24 to Sunday, January 26, 2025, Lisa Nagai's seminar at Teikyo University Faculty of Economics Department of Economics Senior Assistant Professor held a special exhibition, "A Certain Exhibition of Alcoholic Beverages: Whether You Can Drink or Not," at the 4th floor event space of Shibuya Smadlibar (Shibuya, Tokyo).
Nagai Seminar has been working on the Shibuya Smart Drinking Project from the perspective of SDG 3 "Health and Welfare for All" as an SDGs seminar this year. note 1 to participate in the "Smart Drinking for Generation Z" as part of a university collaboration. *2 In order to realize the goal of "promoting the understanding of the "Smadori" and expanding new ways to enjoy alcoholic beverages by making them one's own," students from the Nagai Seminar came up with a plan under the theme of "Smadori de 00iru" (do something with Smadori). As a result of presentations to related companies, students of Nagai Seminar won the Grand Prix and were granted the right to implement the exhibition, which was held in cooperation with Smadori Co.
In this exhibition, we introduced "alcohol-related things" through illustrations, and aimed to provide an opportunity for people to understand each other's feelings by displaying illustrations and captions from the perspectives of both drinkers and non-drinkers. In addition, we received cooperation from many people involved in the creation of the illustrations, including students from our university's art club and Bunka Fashion College.
Yoshimoto Miyu (3rd year, Faculty of Economics) played a central role in the project, communicating with those who helped create the illustrations and directing the team, commenting, "I had a lot of trouble writing the instructions and captions for the illustrations, but I was able to deepen my ties with the team members. I'm glad that it has finally taken shape after more than half a year of work." Takahashi Akihisa (3rd year, Faculty of Economics) served as the liaison with the relevant companies' representatives, and reflected, "I actually visited the exhibition space with the companies and made preparations. It was a valuable experience that I can use in my future life as a working adult."
Over the three days, over 130 people visited the exhibition, and many people sympathized with the exhibit. Nagai's seminar will continue to work toward achieving the SDGs.
