Participated inUtsunomiya Campus Children's Festival in Bunka no Mori 2025

On Monday, May 5th, 2025 (national holiday), Teikyo University Utsunomiya Campus participated in the Children's Festival in Bunka no Mori 2025, held at Utsunomiya Bunka no Mori (Utsunomiya City, Tochigi Prefecture). This event, now in its 13th year, is a popular event in the local area held on Children's Day. The weather was good on the day, and the event was crowded with many families. A shuttle bus was also operated between our Utsunomiya Campus and the venue, providing a valuable opportunity to interact with the local community.
From our university, the festival executive committee set up a stall selling yakitori in the "Pakupaku Gokkun Forest" area, while international students from the international student dormitory set up stalls selling boiled dumplings and Chinese-style dumplings. Both were a big hit, and it was so successful that they had to add more food midway through. Also, in the "Science Forest" area, the Biology Research Club held an experience corner where they could "Make Slime." Many children, mainly elementary school students, took part, and the event was filled with happy smiles. Participating in such events, where they could interact with the local community, was a valuable learning and experience opportunity for the students.
Teikyo University will continue to value its connections with the local community and engage in a variety of activities.
