On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, approximately 30 students from Teikyo University participated in the 4th Multi-Sector Dialogue on Mutual Aid Capitalism, held at the University of Tokyo's Ito International Research Center (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo).
This event was organized by the Japan Association of Corporate Executives as a dialogue and discussion program aimed at realizing "mutual aid capitalism" with the aim of resolving various social issues both in Japan and overseas. This was the fourth time the event was held, and it was attended by as many as 150 students from 14 universities participating in the "University Alliance for the Realization of Mutual Aid Capitalism," which was launched in February 2025.
The program shared initiatives and examples of mutual aid capitalism, and involved participants from companies, NPOs, and impact startups, across generations and positions, deepening their understanding of five social issues facing the world: refugee and conflict issues, regional revitalization, youth and child poverty, food and agriculture, and earthquake and tsunami reconstruction. They also engaged in dialogue and discussion about how to take the first step toward realizing mutual aid capitalism. Through the efforts of this university consortium, we will continue to contribute to creating a better society by working to find solutions to increasingly complex social issues.
