The buyout system is a system in which the expenses for the replacement of non-research work from the direct expenses of the research project are paid out to the principal investigator, etc., in order to increase the amount of time they can devote to the research project. At our university, the replacement of teaching work is subject to buyout, and is implemented according to the following regulations.
